OUR HISTORY

Sorì has been working in the dairy sector since 1868. The Sorrentino family, now in its fifth year generation, continues to be at the head of the company specialized in the dairy production of excellence with a production site covering 5,000 square meters surface and a total of 30,000 square meters, which today represents a reference reality in the buffalo and cow traditional cow production panorama.

A FAMILY TRADITION

Sorì company finds its origins in 1868 in the heart of Naples, near Porta Capuana, where one of the most lively markets of the time took place.

There, thanks to the motive power of horses and gigs for moving the products, Luigi Sorrentino and his two sons set up a small structure to sell their dairy products, laying the foundations for what is now a well established company in Italy and abroad.
Through hard work, devotion to their own history and a bit of entrepreneurial ingenuity, the Sorrentino family has managed to build a solid business until its fifth generation, which still follows every production process..

For Sorì, tradition is important, but so is technological innovation.

In fact, our production maintains the characteristics of the artisan tradition, combined with the volumes, the constancy, and the qualitative standards of the Industry: quality and craftsmanship in a single product. 

Our certifications (ISO 9001: 2015, IFS Higher Level, BRC A +, Halal, Etica Sedex, Bio, and DOP) testify to our utmost attention to quality, referring not only to the characteristics of the finished product, but to its process, and to the compliance with the highest standards of hygiene and health standards.

TERRITORY AND RAW MATERIALS

Close to the Regional Park of Roccamonfina, a pristine area,
source of irreplaceable riches for the air and the subsoil, is located the plant of Sorì Italia.

ANIMAL WELFARE

Our buffalo milk comes exclusively from farms in the PDO area carefully selected.

We pay extreme attention to the animal welfare of our farms,
which we monitor constantly through periodic activities.
Our Quality Control carries out inspections in order to verify,
not only the sanitary requisites but all that concerns animal welfare.

In compliance with the main measures on the subject, the breeders and their workers, carry out all the necessary actions so that the well-being of their animals is guaranteed, without bringing pain and suffering to the buffaloes.

We make sure that people with adequate capabilities, knowledge and professional skills take care of the buffaloes, that they are given a healthy diet, appropriate to their age and species, satisfying their nutritional needs. We make sure that they have adequate space for their physiological and ethological needs, because only by controlling the supply chain starting from the total care for animal welfare, a good and safe quality raw material can be made, the milk at the base of our productions.
